Emilie Landre Rytterager

Emilie Landre Rytterager works with family property law and inheritance law.

 

She completed her Master of Laws degree at the University of Oslo in the winter of 2024. Her interest in family law and in the financial and societal structures established by, among other things, marriage and cohabitation formed the basis for her master’s thesis, “Is the contribution rule in section 79, first paragraph, of the Marriage Act suitable for ensuring reasonable financial settlements today?”. The thesis was a legal policy analysis of the content and effect of the contribution rule and raised questions regarding the rule’s impact in light of current family and societal conditions.

Family and inheritance law were among the areas of law that captured Emilie’s interest early in her studies. As part of this interest, she specialised in child law as well as adjacent areas of law and issues at the intersection of family, inheritance and property law, including digital assets, cryptocurrency, NFTs, personal data and digital inheritance.
 

Today, Emilie works broadly within family property law and inheritance law. She assists clients in all types of inheritance matters, including issues concerning wills, generational transfers and disputes between heirs in connection with estate administrations. She also works on estate administrations for private clients and assists attorney Sicilie Tveøy in public estate administration assignments.
 

In the spring of 2026, Emilie was elected to the board of the Norwegian Bar Association’s Young Lawyers section in the Oslo district. The board works to safeguard the interests of younger lawyers in the district through professional and social events, courses, lectures and networking. The position gives Emilie the opportunity to engage in matters of importance to younger lawyers and to contribute to an active professional community.
